Zee Tamil’s survival based reality show Survivor Tamil Season 1 (2021) reached it’s grand finale week with the top 5 finalists.
Survivor Tamil started it’s first season on 12th September 2021 with 16 initial contestants and 2 more players were added as the wildcard entries.
From Launch Day (Day 0), these contestants gave their 100% effort to stay safe from vote out and to reach the finale week.
From them, we got top 5 finalists of this first season who will compete in the final knockout challenge to become the winner of Survivor Tamil.
On Friday 10th December 2021, we saw Vijayalakshmi became the 1st finalists of this season while Narayan got eliminated and joined the jurors list.
**Episode didn’t got telecast on Saturday**
Now on Sunday 12th December 2021, we saw the remaining 3 contenders competed in the knockout battle to secure their place in the finale. 2 from them move forward while 1 got eliminated. Later the top 3 finalists competed in the finale battle and from them Vijayalakshmi (Vijil/Vg) was declared as the winner of this season based on the jury votes.
The winner of Survivor Tamil Season 1 got the title of this season along with prize money of ₹1 Crore (US$1,34,000).
The grand finale of episode will start from 9:30 PM onwards on Zee Tamil and Zee5.

Even though Jury voted for Viji, Judge could have changed format of the game by competing against top 2 contenders based on number of votes.
So, there would have been competition between Viji and Saran and Saran would have been the winner.
Viji manipulated Uma. She knew he was very vulnerable after Inigo and Vikranth left. She betrayed him after telling him that she would pick him as a finalist. She knew for sure that if Uma was a finalist..all the jurors would vote for him. Being a mother is great Viji but what values are you trying to portray and instill in your kid here? Backstab anyone for your own personal gain? Kudos to you.
In this tougher scenario, Umapathy should have won the task. Not giving up. If he had won the Task Vs Saran, every Jury would have voted Umpathy as Sole Survivor
Viji you knew very well you stand no chance if Uma is in the final 3..so you had to break his spirit by betrayal till the last moment of the game.. Cunning but you played the game to win…You won 1 crore of money and Umapathy won multiple crores of people support.. Real winner is Uma..
